The primary mission of the Investigations Bureau is to conduct all investigative functions stemming from the initial report, and following the case through to prosecution. Contained within this bureau are specialized units including Detectives, Burglary, VICE & Narcotics, Juvenile & School Resource Officers.

School Resource Officers – CIB Juvenile Unit
Assigned to the Criminal Investigations Bureau – Juvenile Unit, School Resource Officers (SRO) are assigned to Edison’s schools in a Community Oriented Policing mission to work in collaboration with our municipality’s Board of Education. SRO Detectives provide for a safer learning environemnt, provide valuable resources to school staff members, foster positive relationships with youth, and develop strategies to resolve problems affecting youth and all students.
