The primary mission of the Communications Bureau is to facilitate prompt responses to public needs by providing a 9-1-1 public safety central answering point. Contained within the Bureau are the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) and the Public Safety Dispatch Point (PSDP) for all 9-1-1 calls that originate within the geographic boundaries of Edison, N.J. The Communications Bureau supports the delivery of quality Police, Fire Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services, and maintains all Township communications capabilities including Radio, Phone & Internet.
